Last year we went up to Newfoundland (yet to pronounce correct, LOL) and fell in love with it! Granted we only saw the Conception Bay Area (tripped across to the Trinity Bay as well) or shall I say that peninsula.
I fell in love with NFLD! Almost impossible to get to, but worth the effort!
People there are pretty much the same, yet again I found those n NFLD to be a bit more open. I spent most of my time in NFLD in back country. Most of my time in NS was fairly touristy, though I did get some back country in.
Most folk I spoke to in NS had something to sell, some really didn't care if you bought, yet very willing to just talk. Most I spoke to in NFLD had nothing to sell and would keep you there for a 1/2hr just talking.
There are amazing places in NS, yet what I saw, came upon in NFLD was spectacular!
NS was tough on the lower regions (east) to see most anything. No where to pull over and enjoy. Where as NFLD it was very easy. Heck, I stopped at someone s land in NFLD and I thought they were going to adopt me! All we wanted to do was enjoy their view! Talk about welcoming..
